More turmoil for Rafa as Bayern claim to have pipped Liverpool to Klinsmann
Rafa Benitez long-term future at Liverpool was again called into question today, as Bayern Munich claimed to have beaten Liverpool to the German's signature. Klinsmann himself stated he recieved no offers from the Premier League, however high level sources at Bayern are adament there was a detailed offer on the table for Klinsmann to sign, which he rejected to sign in at Bayern.
Liverpool refused to comment when this story was put to them, which is at odds with their reaction to the recent Fabio Capello link.
Benitez himself, gave a solid defence of his record today as this story broke, however as stated previously on Footy Focus, we believe the decision has been made and Rafa is a goner at seasons end. Having said that we are so glad it won't be Klinsmann in charge!
